SERVING & COMMUNITY

Everyone matters at St Augustine’s. Everyone belongs and has their own unique part to play.

We each have different gifts and skills which enrich and bless the life of the church family and local neighbourhood.

We want to be a community of people journeying and sharing together as followers of Jesus through the calms and storms of life, the blessings and the battles, the joy and the pain.

“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven”

— Jesus - Matthew 6:10

The prayer above that Jesus taught is something that we pray often and regularly as a church community.

We long for God's kingdom of salvation, healing, freedom, reconciliation, power, justice and transformation to break out in and through each of our lives…

in our church community, in our neighbourhood, our homes, workplaces, schools and beyond.

Caring for those who are poor and those struggling in life, practically serving those in need, supporting each other, and helping others to encounter Jesus themselves, are really important values at St Augustine's.

There are many different ways to serve, reach out and make a difference, and we believe that everyone has something important to give to others. If you would like to give your time and resources to serve others, please contact Gabriel Anstis (Vicar). He would love to hear from you!

“The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life…”

—Jesus speaking of himself and why he came, Mark 10:45
